In recent times the face of journalism, have changed to something else.
Nowadays most Journalists set an agenda to please their paymasters, not to seek for national interest.
Most media Houses are owned by politicians, so the political affiliation,of the owner is been championed on the network always.
The Media is meant to educate, inform, and entertain, but not to misinform, deceive, and throw dust into the eye of their cheerish audience.
Perpetrating falsehood stories on a media network, makes the network to lose its integrity, authenticity and credibility.
The tool of verifications and investigations is fading out gradually,in the media landscape.
Crosschecking of facts and figures with regards to news items,is now irrelevant or not needful to some media Houses.
The agenda setting to unmake and make some institutions to come down or high, making the government popular or unpopular has become the order of the day in journalism.
The media which suppose to be a watchdog has now turn to become a sleeping dog.
Refusing to bite,or biting to please their paymasters, now fair and balance is also fading off gradually.
I will never say that now most Journalists are unprofessional, but serving the interest of their paymasters, not national interest,had make a lot of Journalists to become unprofessionals.
Unprofessionalism is now gaining grounds or space,at the center page in journalism.
Media personnels shouldn't forget that, apart from a media house having adent audience, there are also discerning audience,who reads in between the lines, to judge and draw their own conclusions.
When a listener or viewer realised that, his or her preferred or choice of media house,had been misinforming him or her by brainwashing, definitely the media house will lose such listener's or viewer's.
Most of the media Houses have lost their cheerish audience, because they always feed them with misinformations.
An irresponsible journalist in Rwanda classified assertion of people as animals, and it resulted into a tribal war in the country, and thousands of people lost their lives, innocently.
Any irresponsible journalist, who works irresponsibly can create or cause volience or anarchy in the country.
Sitting behind a mirophone or writing a story, for a news items, saying something irresponsibly is murderous and dangerous, like an arm robber going to rob and kill an innocent person.
Taking money to destroy the reputation of someone, can land a media house or journalist to court for a defamation of character.
I will plead with every media house to desist from propaganda, discermination of information must not be falsehood.
There should be a background checks properly, before a news publication is publishp for public consumption.
