Senior Presidential Staffer, Madam Theresa was sacked for declaring Vice President Bawumia as Next President - EweGhana.Net 

A Senior Presidential Staffer, Madam Theresa Addison who apologized for declaring Vice President Bawumia as His Excellency Nana Addo' s successor has been sent away from the Jubilee House.

Madam Theresa Addison on 3rd June 2021 was in charge of announcing burial gifts presented by the President and Vice at Sir John' s Funeral. In the course of introduction she declared Dr Bawumia as the next president of Ghana.

In attendance at the funeral were followers of some leading New Patriotic Party members who are all aspiring as the next presidential candidate. After Madam Theresa' s impromptu declaration she wrote a letter to render her apology. Attached below a copy of her apology post on Facebook.

She apologized to the Party Executives and every member for her unfortunate comments made earlier. In her own words after sober reflection she realised her actions were inappropriate and uncalled for.

The later part of the letter was full of regret and a sense of repentance but the letter was not enough to defer her punishment. As a party that thrives on unity, her actions is one that can spell doom for the party come 2024 elections.

Although Madam Theresa Addison took responsibility for her words in the apology letter she has to sacrifice her job for peace sake. The decision some believe will help reduce the tension betwen the camps of the aspirants.

Leading members and grassroot who were not satisfied with Madam Theresa' s declaration had earlier called upon the party leaders to punish her. The uprising demand from these supporters believed to be from anti Bawumia camp has engineered her sack from the Jubilee House.

She is to leave her post with immediate effect until further notice an insider from the Jubilee House has hinted.
