THEME: USE THE NAME OF JESUS:
Philipians 2:10-11
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Our theme scripture teaches that there is an authority that things in heaven, things on earth and things under the earth must submit to, and it’s the name of Jesus. Beyond all other authorities, the name of Jesus is the most powerful and supreme authority given to you as a child of God. Jesus gave us the power of attorney to use his name. It is one of the greatest blessings you have as a Christian.
The chapter 3 of the book of Acts records an event where Peter and John met a lame man from birth at the temple. Peter being conscious of what he has said, 'In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk' ( Acts 3:6). The man walked! They knew the authority they had and their faith was simply believing what the Lord Jesus said, that ”In my name shall they cast out devils... and they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:19)”. In the name of Jesus, the apostles and early Church displayed the Kingdom of God to the world.
To use the name of Jesus, is to apply God's power. It is your spiritual fortitude and legal right of enforcing God's will on earth and in your life. There is nothing too difficult or impossible for the name of Jesus to deal with. When you are making declarations of blessings for your family, business or career, say ’In the name of Lord Jesus Christ...', and be certain that it's done. Use the name of Jesus to squash demonic activities and difficult situations. There is power in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER
Thank you Lord for the authority you have given me. I rule the affairs of life in the name of Jesus. By the name of Jesus I triumph over sicknesses, demoniac forces and difficult situations. I exercise my authority in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
REFLECTION
To use the name of Jesus, is to apply God's power. It is your spiritual fortitude and legal right of enforcing God's will on earth and in your life.
